Humbravana

Welcome to Imero Gobbato's world of Humbravana.

As a child in Italy, between the first and second great wars of the last century, Gobbato began to dream an entire world into being. This is a place of justice, truth and uncommon beauty; a world apart.

For over seventy years this dream has evolved with intricate detail, including maps, language, philosophy and governmental systems. It is a place of utopian harmony where many of the citizens play musical instruments. Gobbato has composed over 240 pieces of music for Humbravana.

The small collection of work here is just the first stage of a remarkable series of paintings, intaglios, etchings and woodcuts, opening the borders of this magnificent land to visitors from the here and the now.

We at Harbor Square invite you to experience more of Imero Gobbato's world at our Rockland gallery.
