William Crosby

"I am inspired by the landforms, including water edges, and the atmospheric condition of the changing seasons. Often, my work can be considered as an abstract impression of a landscape...I think of it as an interpretive response to a landscape."

"Bill" Crosby taught painting and photography for over 35 years at SUNY Plattsburgh. Bill lives with his wife Pat in a rural area near Plattsburgh, yet they spend significant amounts of time at their camp in Maine. They have 3 grown children. Kayaking the waters of the Adirondacks, the Maine coast and Alaska has inspired many of Bill's recent landscape compositions.
